Dr. Soto is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vascular and interventional radiologist. He has performed thousands of innovative, minimally invasive image-guided treatments for a wide variety of complex conditions.. He specializes in lower extremity revascularization, embolization for prostatic enlargement and uterine fibroids, and minimally invasive musculoskeletal pain treatments.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, he completed his medical degree at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He completed his Radiology residency at Temple University Medical Center in Philadelphia and then his Interventional Radiology fellowship at Stanford University.
Since then, he has worked in a variety of hospital and outpatient-based settings for more than 15 years in Northern and Central California and on the East Coast. In particular, he has been focused on delivering quality, safe, and state-of-the-art office-based treatments since 2016 and has served as medical director of successful practices in New Jersey and San Joaquin County.
When Dr. Soto founded PVI in 2022 it was with the goal of providing exceptional ambulatory interventional care in underserved areas in the East Bay. The primary Hayward location was established in early 2024.
He is active staff at Washington and St. Rose Hospitals and Seton Medical Center. Dr. Soto is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, and of the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society.
He is a native Spanish speaker and is incredibly excited to offer compassionate and culturally competent care to the Hayward and neighboring communities.
In his spare time, Dr. Soto loves traveling with his wife, son, and two dogs, playing tennis, running, biking, and indulging in chess.
